  • Heat milk and butter or margarine over low heat till very hot.
  • Combine sugar, salt, yeast, and 1 cup of flour in a large bowl. Stir in hot milk combination, and beat with mixer on medium pace for 2 mins. Beat in 1 extra cup of flour, and keep beating for two greater minutes. With a timber spoon, stir in sufficient flour (about 2 cups) to make a tender dough.
  • Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 mins, including greater flour as important. Cover dough with bowl, and let rest for 15 mins.

  • On a lightly floured floor and with a floured rolling pin, roll dough into a 24 x 6 inch rectangle. Spoon the cheese combination into a log form lengthwise alongside the dough. Fold the dough over the cheese creating a 1 inch overlap, and pinch seam to seal. In a greased nine inch spherical cake pan, place roll, seam aspect down, to make a ring. Overlap the ends, and pinch to seal. Cover with a towel. Let relaxation 10 minutes.
  • Brush loaf with egg white, and garnish with blanched almonds, if desired. Bake at 350 degrees F (one hundred seventy five degrees C) for 1 hour, till loaf sounds hole whilst tapped. Remove bread from pan at once. Cool for 15 mins earlier than reducing into wedges.
